Our philosophy is not only clear, it is also markedly different.

100% Australian owned and exclusively committed to the home of Lemon Myrtle – Northern Rivers – the Bundjalung nation.

We are entirely organic, based exclusively on regenerative agricultural principles. Proudly, the local community is at the heart of all we do.

The reason we decided on this approach is we want a better plant now and for the future, we want a healthier and more sustainable local environment, ultimately we believe this will also create a better business and a superior product.

Community

We couldn’t have built MyrtleCo without the efforts of an incredible local community united by a love of nature and a shared mission to grow Lemon Myrtle on Northern Rivers’ soil. It’s an achievement that only goes to reinforce our belief that magic happens when like-minded people come together with passion and purpose.

Keeping it Local

It’s no secret that the beauty of local food production is that the end result is a higher quality, nutrient-dense, more flavoursome product. There are other benefits, of course. Our rural operation supports local economic development and prosperity, which positively affects local families and surrounding communities.

Sustainability

We’re committed to ensuring that our planet and future generations thrive. That’s why we use organic growing principles and consider sustainable practice in every decision we make. We always do the right thing by the soil, ever mindful of enhancing soil fertility naturally, retaining moisture, and finding new ways to reduce our carbon footprint, such as tree planting programs, creating wildlife shelterbelts and closed-loop mulch production.

Biodiversity

We’re 100 per cent committed to creating the perfect habitat for bees, koalas, and native birds on the land. We know that biodiversity ensures that native flora and fauna flourish. And it’s precisely this practice that restores the land and allows plants such as the Lemon Myrtle to thrive in their native ecosystem.

Quality

We’re sticklers for quality because we believe that if you’re going to do something, you should do it well. That’s why quality control is at the heart of our everyday operation. In fact, we believe it’s our community’s shared passion for excellence that’s at the root of our success, and we intend to keep it that way.
